Finding something worth doing shouldn't mean scrolling through endless event listings, Instagram pages and group chats.
Good Shout finds Black and diaspora events across London, checks the important details and picks out the ones we think are genuinely worth knowing about.
Every week, we keep it simple: a shortlist of events we'd actually recommend.
Less searching. Better shouts.
We find it. We check it. We make the shout.
We discover events from organisers, venues, ticket platforms, social media and community submissions.
Before an event is listed, we check key details against a primary source, including the date, venue and event link.
Then comes the bit a listing alone can't do: is it actually a good shout?
That's where our editorial judgement comes in.
Facts are facts. Opinions are ours.
Verified information can include the event date, venue, official event or ticket link and published age restriction.
Good Shout intelligence can include things like the likely crowd, vibe, who we think it's best for and why we think it's worth going.
When something is our estimate rather than organiser-confirmed, we'll tell you.

Who makes the call
Good Shout is edited in London by Toks Jones. Every week's picks are chosen by hand — no algorithm decides what makes the list, and nobody pays to be on it.
